I was reading the January, 22 2010 press release of comScore which reported a 46% growth in searches worldwide from 89 billion in 2008 to 131 billion in 2009. Google continues to lead the way with 58% growth from 55 billion searches in 2008 to 87 billion searches in 2009. However Microsoft reported a 70% growth, albeit off a small base, due to its introduction of Bing. My feeling is that 2010 should be an interesting year for Microsoft. It is obvious to me that the in 21st century marketing must be digitally focused or ones products and services will simply not be found.
